All proceeds will go to support the Small World Angel Program which supplies gift for local children in the community. All donations are appreciated.

Welcome back everyone! I hope you had an enjoyable, restful Thanksgiving.
Special congratulations to all of our students who auditioned for all-region. We are INCREDIBLY proud of the hard work you put into this challenging music. Learning these etudes pushes ALL of us to become better musicians, and better individual players improve our band as a whole. Our 15 region members will represent LT at the clinic/concert 1/19-20. More details to come.
As students turn in their marching uniform we will check out dresses/tuxes. Our outfitter, Mr. Branch has done a wonderful job measuring and altering our concert apparel so that we look as nice as possible. Should you have any issues with your concert uniform, please contact Mr. Branch directly at 817-307-4753.

- Spring Trip contracts and $100 non-refundable deposits are due Tuesday, November 15 by 4:30 pm to the money box next to Mr. Holzer’s office.
- 11/15 are 9th grade region auditions. Audition times will be sent out as soon as we receive them.

- Tuesday – Student leadership meeting 4:30-5:15 pm
- Friday – Veteran’s Assembly during activity period. Symphonic Band only. Dress nicely. Guests will need to sign it at the front. Please send me the names of any veterans attending.
- Saturday – Frisco Community Parade. Call time in the bandhall is 7:15 am. Full uniform. Required event! We are the 1st band in the parade.
- Please make plans to participate in the band’s “Nothing Bundt Cakes” promotion throughout the week of 11/14. We will receive 30% back when someone pays and puts the receipt into our marked box. Now is the time to place an order for Thanksgiving!!

Our loyalty week at Nothing Bundt Cake starts in two weeks. We will receive 30% back when someone pays and puts the receipt into our marked box.
- The next few months are going to focus on individual musicianship and improving our playing. Sectionals begin 10/31. Sectionals are essentially scheduled tutorials for band. Students will focus on their all-region music. This music is designed to push students to grow as musicians. In many cases this is the most challenging music they have experienced. Regular sectional attendance and personal training are most beneficial to students’ success in the all-region process.
- Mr. Green Masterclass – Nov. 1 @ LTHS (During class) – The legendary Texas band director will be our guest clinician during the day.
- Spring Trip Information Meeting – Nov. 2 @ LTHS (7:00 pm) – Details regarding our 1st annual trip will be discussed. Please plan to have an adult representative present from your family. Veteran’s Assembly – Nov. 11 @ LTHS (12:00-12:30 pm) – Symphonic Band only. Nice dress no tennis shoes, t-shirts or jeans. This event is open to the public. Guests please sign in through the front office.
- Frisco Community Parade – Nov. 12 @ Downtown Frisco (7:30 am-1:00 pm) – Itinerary on website. Full uniform. This is a required event.
- Freshman Region Auditions – Nov. 15 @ Clark High School (individual times) – Students selected to participate will need transportation to and from their audition. Plan to arrive 30-40 minutes ahead of time to check in and warm-up. Dress for comfort and do your best. Results will be announced in class the following day.
