Upcoming Events

• Competition season is upon us. It is critical that students monitor all grades and communicate regularly with their teachers. Our organization has been working incredibly hard all season and we need EVERY member to stay academically eligible.
• Thank you to our volunteers, concession operators, uniform outfitters, builders, and everyone who has given their time and talents to help the Band. We appreciate you!!
• FISD Band Fest – Oct. 4 @ The Star (4:30-10:00 pm) – Itinerary on the official band calendar. Students will eat dinner beforehand. We will travel via bus. Full uniform. We are the first band to perform.
• Game vs. Dallas Episcopal – Oct. 6 @ LTHS (4:30-8:30 pm) – Students will eat together in the cafeteria directly after school. Parade block will march out at 5:30 pm. Full uniform.
• Afternoon Marching Rehearsal – Oct. 7 @ LTHS (5:30-8:30 pm) – Wear band shirt. Eat dinner beforehand. This is a critical practice before competition.
• Little Elm Marching Contest – Oct. 8 @ Lobo Stadium – Itinerary on the official band calendar. Full uniform. Parents are highly encouraged to attend our first major competition.
• Afternoon Marching Rehearsal – Oct. 11 @ LTHS (4:30-7:00 pm) – Wear band shirt.
• Game vs. Coppell – Oct. 13 @ LTHS (4:30-8:00 pm) – Students will eat together in the cafeteria directly after school. Parade block will march out at 5:00 pm. Full uniform.
• Afternoon Marching Rehearsal – Oct. 14 @ LTHS (4:30-7:00 pm) – Wear band shirt.
• Princeton Marching Contest – Oct. 15 @ Princeton – Itinerary on the official band calendar. Full uniform. Parents are highly encouraged to attend.
• Fowler MS Band Concert – Oct. 19 @ LTHS (5:00–8:30 pm) – Help needed with set up/tear down.
• Pep Rally – Oct. 20 @ LTHS – During the school day. Wear show shirt.
• Game vs. McKinney North – Oct. 26 @ LTHS (4:30-8:00 pm) – Students will eat together in the cafeteria directly after school. Parade block will march out at 5:00 pm. Full uniform. Final Game.

Please make sure you have completed your band registration by paying all fees and updating your personal information on the CHARMS system (charmsoffice.com). This includes payment for school-owned instruments as well. All transactions may be done through www.mypaymentsplus.com.

Over the course of the year we rely heavily on parent volunteers. Please consider volunteering! The more volunteers we have, the easier it is for all. Volunteers MUST complete the FISD screening process yearly.

• Concessions at Memorial – Sept. 1 – Volunteers needed to work the booth at Memorial. Please help!!
• Game vs. LD Bell – Sept. 8 @ LTHS (4:30-8:00 pm) – Students will eat together in the cafeteria directly after school. Parade block will march out 5:15 pm. Band shirt, khaki shorts and band shoes.
• Afternoon Marching Rehearsal – Sept 9. @ LTHS (4:30-7:00 pm) – In lieu of Labor Day rehearsal.
• Stadium Rehearsal – Sept. 15 @ Memorial Stadium (4:30-9:00 pm) – Students will eat together in the cafeteria directly after school, load up and travel to Memorial via bus. Wear band shirt for uniformity.
• Dedication Ceremony – Sept. 18 @ LTHS (3:30-5:30 pm) – Symphonic Band only required event. All-black, nice dress, no jeans, t-shirt or tennis shoes.
• All Region Jazz Auditions – Sept. 21 @ Plano West HS (individual) – For those who have been approved by a director to attend. Break a leg!!
